Tiffin Ohio (2/26/26):
The Husted Files
Sen. Jon Husted’s corruption is costing you
File #1
Jon Husted has taken more money from Jeffrey Epstein’s associates than any other member of Congress and tried to protect them by voting to keep the Epstein files hidden.
Husted has received over $200,000 in campaign contributions from one of Jeffrey Epstein’s closest business partners, Leslie Wexner.
Husted took nearly half of that money AFTER Wexner’s name was unredacted in the Epstein Files by the Justice Department.
File #2
Jon Husted voted to pay for $2.5 billion in AI data center tax breaks with Medicaid cuts when he supported the “Big Beautiful Bill” in 2025. The bill significantly expanded tax breaks to encourage AI data centers construction, while cutting over $1 trillion from Medicaid and SNAP food assistance.
In September 2026, Husted, who received $630,000 from the AI industry to support his campaign and has been called the “face of data centers” in Ohio, tried to fast-track a bill to pull back those tax breaks but it failed in the Senate.
Ohio now has more than 225 data centers, with dozens more on the way, all while utility prices continue to increase.
File #3
As Lieutenant Governor, Jon Husted personally pushed a massive, taxpayer-funded billion-dollar bailout for FirstEnergy after the energy conglomerate secretly donated $1,000,000 to his campaign. The scheme is now the largest public corruption scandal in Ohio history.
In March 2026, Husted –who the utility’s insiders called their “Golden Boy”– testified for the defense. A sitting U.S. Senator testified in defense of the largest bribery trial in Ohio history. Since the trial began, Husted’s name has appeared 386 times in court testimony.
Meanwhile, Ohio families are now paying 61% more a year on electric bills, and they’re still rising.
File #4
Jon Husted voted thirteen times for the Iran War, calling it “good news for the global economy.”
You’re now paying $4.52 for a gallon of regular gas, a record high $6.55 for a gallon of diesel because of a senseless war that Jon Husted fully supports.
File #5
Jon Husted championed Trump’s sweeping tariffs that have spiked inflation across the board, driving up costs for Ohio’s small businesses, manufacturers, and farmers.
On top of the soaring fuel costs at the pump, these tariffs are pushing grocery bills higher than ever and making everyday items feel like a luxury.
File #6
Jon Husted has spent his career siding with billionaires and corporations. He’s even taken over $700,000 from the health insurance industry.
He’s returned the favor by voting eight times to increase health insurance premiums.
Husted was a key vote in the Senate to pass the largest Medicaid cuts in history, which will leave over half a million Ohio kids and seniors without health insurance. All, just to give tax breaks to the richest of the rich.
Even if you’re not on Medicaid, the cuts will jack up premiums for everyone else, and put rural hospitals at risk of closing.
File #7
- Said that people living below the poverty line “are not very experienced at navigating the real world” and that “you literally have to teach people how to budget.”
- Said that Ohioans’ “work ethic is broken.”
- Said that a solution to the affordability crisis is to simply “earn more.”
- Said that replacing workers with robots “is not a bad thing.”
- Failed to vet a campaign staffer who had white supremacist and Nazi associations on his social media.
Enough is enough.
Ohio can’t afford Jon Husted.
